AGM 2017 – Monday 30 October

The AGM of the residents association takes place on Monday, 30 October at 7.30 pm in the Carey Hall, Claremont Road — finishing at 9:00 pm.  This will be both a business and social meeting.

The Golders Green Estate Residents Association is making a difference! Please join us to:

  • Celebrate our achievements with a drink.
  • Share your views to plan our future actions.
  • Meet other neighbours and be part of a stronger community.
  • Thank those who contribute to our well-being.
  • Appoint a new chairman.  Volunteers for other committee roles are always welcome.

Every resident is welcome, whether tenant or property owner, young or old. We all live here and it is in everyone’s interest to make our neighbourhood a better place.

This is a free event. We give special thanks to those who, in different ways, are contributing to making it possible.

We should be grateful if you would confirm if you are planning to attend. Refreshments will be funded by GGERA’s own limited funds and it will help us to know how many people to expect.

LOST – Lady’s Watch

One of our neighbours, Sampa Chaudhury, lost a SEIKO ladies watch at about 9:40 am on the morning of 19 July 2017 while walking from Cleveland Gardens to Pennine Drive bus stop opposite the shops. She walked along the pavements of Cleveland Gardens and crossed the road at Purbeck Drive to the roundabout and then the bus stop.

The watch has a small round black dial and golden link metal band.  It has great sentimental value.

If anyone has found the watch please contact Sampa directly: sampachaudhury@googlemail.com

Brent Cross Redevelopment

Brent Cross South

Brent CrossSouth

In March 2016, Barnet Council approved Argent as the new developer for Brent Cross South. This is the 180-acre area south of the Brent Cross shopping centre, which stretches from the North Circular (A406) to Cricklewood Lane, between Hendon Way (A41) and the Edgware Road (A5). The new development will sit alongside the redevelopment of Brent Cross shopping centre, connected via a new pedestrian bridge across the North Circular.

The first works are expected to start in early 2018.

More details can be found on the Argent Related site. Further information is supposed to be available here.
