Our local police SNT have warned us about an increased spike of domestic burglaries occurring throughout Barnet, Brent and Harrow (although Golders Green ward has not been affected yet).
 
The suspects involved, equipped with crowbars, have targeted homes during the hours of darkness whether the occupiers were present or not. When disturbed, the suspects promptly flee leaving damage to properties, mainly front doors.
 
The suspects involved consist of masked and gloved individuals described as of white heritage working in a group of as few as 2 to as many as 5. They primarily target jewellery, watches and cash.
 
They tend to use high value vehicles with cloned registration numbers.
